Is VANDEMATRAM against Islam?
First we should know the meaning of Vandematram..this word literally means MAA TUJHE NAMASKAAR in Hindi and in Urdu it means TASLEEMAAT MAA TASLEEMAAT(SALAAM).
This has nothing to do with any religion as this song is giving respect to the nation but not any god and as a matter of fact the first person who raised objection to this song was Rabindranath Tagore because he said that some lines of this songs are against Islamic beliefs and later a committee was made which delete those lines from the song and later Rabindranath Tagore in Banaras Session sang the edited song and the constituent assembly voted it as the national song of India. Vandematram is actually a way to pay respect(bandegi) towars the nation but not sajda ae ubbudiyat. This is unfortunate for us(Indians) and our politics that now we have politicised our national song for just vote bank politics because even Mohammad Ali Jinnah used to sing Vandematram before he raised demand for Pakistan.
